New GradGuideStar Eldercare is offering a multi-dimensional, outpatient geriatric psychology post-doctoral fellowship where Fellows will work alongside licensed psychologists providing behavioral health and neuro-cognitive services to residents of long term care facilities. This role focuses on working with patients diagnosed with Major Neurocognitive Disorder and includes responsibilities such as evaluation and condition-specific support therapy.

Provide evaluation
Establish different diagnosis, i.e. Alzheimer’s vs. Parkinson’s vs. Vascular Cognitive Assessment
Provide condition-specific support therapy, or when indicated, insight-based therapy
Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP and GuideStar colleagues, and to engage with the family as indicated
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Experience in geriatric psychology, health psychology, and/or neuropsychology
Ability to provide evaluation and establish different diagnoses, i.e. Alzheimer's vs. Parkinson's vs. Vascular
Willingness to accept challenges of working with an atypical geropsychiatric population
Interest in exposure to working in medical and behavioral health settings
