Responsibilities
Conduct advanced research into new AI/ML/DL/transformer-based models, frameworks, and techniques, staying abreast of academic and industry advances
Prepare proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new AI features or solution ideas
Design, implement, fine-tune, and deploy AI models; integrate external open source frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, LangChain) for model/agentic workflows
Develop agentic AI systems: build modular, stateful, multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc
Architect scalable, robust, and modular systems for AI agents, ensuring performance, maintainability, and observability in distributed environments
Develop evaluation metrics, logging/tracing/monitoring strategies for agents to ensure reliable performance, error detection, continuous improvement
Build and maintain data pipelines in conjunction with data engineering team: data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, cleaning / normalization / augmentation
Analyze proprietary / internal datasets and domain-specific datasets (healthcare, finance, etc.) for model training and insight generation
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate research outputs into production-ready components or product features
Document methodologies, assumptions, limitations, and ensure reproducibility, governance, and ethical use of AI solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering)
2-5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML/DL model development, fine-tuning, and deployment
Proven experience using Python extensively for AI development; familiarity with key AI/ML/DL libraries and frameworks
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering (few-shot, chain-of-thought, etc.), open source model integrations
Experience in building agentic AI or multi-agent workflows, and with agent frameworks like LangChain / LlamaIndex etc
Background in data pipelines: preprocessing, feature engineering, ingestion of both structured and unstructured data
Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and theoretical computer science
Curiosity and passion for innovation: actively follows research papers, conferences, latest trends in AI/ML
Ability to search, analyze, and integrate existing AI models/frameworks to build new solutions
Good system design skills: capable of designing scalable, modular, maintainable AI systems capable of production deployment
Experience implementing observability, logging/monitoring/tracing for models / agents
Good communicator: able to explain technical methods, trade-offs, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple research / engineering tasks
Preferred
Prior open source contributions in AI/ML
Experience working in regulated domains (e.g. healthcare, life sciences, finance) where data privacy, compliance, ethics are important
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
Experience deploying models in production (containers, microservices, serverless etc.)
Knowledge of agent observability and safety frameworks
