Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision
Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results
Manage the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet patient care standards
Ensure supplies are maintained and report problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member
Actively participate in and support student clinical education activities where applicable
Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation
Qualification
Required
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required
Registered as American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT) required
Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required
Preferred
1-year diagnostic testing experience preferred
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire
