RBC Bearings is seeking a 2nd shift Inspector-Class B to perform inspection procedures on various bearing components and finished assemblies. The role involves reading complex drawings, using measuring instruments for inspections, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.

Responsibilities

Perform inspection procedures on a variety of bearing components and finished assemblies

Read complex drawings

Perform inspection operations as required using measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, and direct reading instruments such as air gages, plug gages and torque and radial clearance gages and Rockwell hardness tester

Select the appropriate inspection instrument

Perform inspection operations according to a specified sampling plan

Prepare necessary paperwork when parts fail to meet print specifications

Report any discrepancies to either the leadperson(s) or the supervisor

Keep the workplace clean

Move work being inspected within the area of the workplace

Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by inspection supervision
