The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis, operating CT scan equipment, and ensuring the quality of the scans.

Responsibilities
Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam
Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA)
Evaluates CT scans for technical quality
Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation
Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology
Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology
Preferred
CT Certification preferred
