The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. They are seeking skilled Miners to operate inside the belly of the beast, supporting daily production on a Main Beam Tunnel Boring Machine cutting through hard rock.

Responsibilities
Support tunneling operations from the cutterhead to the backup, including muck handling, ventilation, utilities, and conveyor systems
Load, unload, and handle ground support materials such as rock bolts, mesh, and shotcrete
Operate equipment such as locomotives, forklifts, telehandlers, and jacklegs in the tunnel environment
Inspect and maintain safety of the work area, report ground conditions, and install ground control as required
Assist with TBM launches, ring rebuilds, tail shield cleaning, and other production-critical tasks
Perform shift handovers, communicate clearly with crew members, and follow all safety protocols underground
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in underground mining, tunneling, or heavy civil construction
Strong understanding of underground safety procedures and confined space work
Physically fit and comfortable working in rugged, noisy, and low-light environments
Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed to support tunneling progress
Preferred
Prior work with Main Beam TBMs or similar hard rock mining operations
