The role involves teaching, maintaining research productivity, developing a funded program of scientific research, and providing patient care through clinical practice opportunities.

Responsibilities

Teaches and actively maintains research productivity
Develops a funded program of scientific research
Provides direct patient care activities through clinical practice opportunities with affiliated hospitals and other healthcare organizations
Instructs didactic coursework (online and classroom as appropriate) and mentors students
Other scholarly/institutional service responsibilities will be determined in coordination with the Department Chair

Qualification

Doctoral degreeRegistered nurse licensureFunded post-doctoral fellowshipFederal funding experienceSpecialty certifications

Required

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (Ph.D., DrPH)
Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas

Preferred

MSN or related discipline
Funded post-doctoral fellowship or history of federal funding as a principal investigator (Faculty on the tenure-track)
