Senior Maintenance Tech

Responsibilities

Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work on a daily basis
Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required. Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment. Knowledge of gear boxes, mechanical drives, variable speed applications, and Servo motors
Diagnose and repair refrigeration, steam and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices
Diagnose, repair and overhaul pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems
Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications
Experienced use of precision tools i.e. dials indicators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams. Ability to read/interpret Electrical Schematics is a plus
Skilled in pipe fitting, rigging, and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools
Skilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance is a plus
480v 3 phase knowledge required. Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred
Experience and knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus. Allen Bradley experiences is a plus
Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks
Adhere to Quality work practices, follow all GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality
Ensure regulatory compliance at all times
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

AA in related field, operations or applicable technical knowledge or degree/certification from trade school
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field
Ability to communicate oral/written and possess interpersonal skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distances
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to participate analytical, planning, problem-solving, and small project management skills
Competent in using CMMS System (Preferably SAP)
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to be flexible to shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude, a self-starter
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team peers and customers
Maintain accurate records and data
Ability to endure daily excessive walking, standing, crouching, lifting, twisting, climbing

Preferred
