Neuropsychiatrist, Diagnostic Testing - Anchorage, Alaska

The Neuropsychiatrist will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and prepare detailed reports summarizing testing results and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients referred from inpatient and outpatient programs
Administer, score, and interpret a range of standardized cognitive and psychological tests (e.g., attention, memory, executive function, mood, and personality assessments)
Perform detailed clinical interviews and mental status examinations to aid diagnostic formulation
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate findings into treatment planning
Prepare and deliver formal written reports summarizing testing results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations
Provide feedback sessions to patients, families, and treatment teams regarding test results and implications
Participate in case conferences and team meetings to review complex neuropsychiatric cases
Ensure compliance with ethical, professional, and institutional standards for assessment and confidentiality

Required

MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
BE or BC General Psychiatry through ABPN required
Licensed to practice in the State of AK or the ability to obtain an AK medical license
Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

Preferred

BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry through ABPN or equivalent previous experience is preferred
1099 Independent Contractor highly preferred
