Responsibilities

Conduct analyses on supply chains of critical weapon systems in order to provide recommendations for optimization

Analyze manufacturing processes using a variety of tools and develop and present actionable recommendations for process improvements to optimize throughput

Collaborate directly with suppliers and the U.S. Navy to implement changes and monitor progress while identifying further risks to production schedules and quality

Support further cross-functional teams in this area performing similar work

Mentor junior employees performing this type of support

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders around the world to work collaboratively to improve communication and workflow

Required

5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing and production at a mid- or large-scale defense contractor

Knowledge of processes related to weapon system production

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles

Knowledge of supply chain risk management concepts, including concepts related to manufacturing and quality management

Ability to participate in or lead various integrated product teams (IPTs)

Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 30% of the time

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering

Preferred

5+ years of experience serving in or supporting the U.S. Navy, including conducting product support manager functions or production support in a USN program office

Experience using Python or R

Experience with program management of major ACAT programs

Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS09100 standards

Master's degree

PMP, DAWIA PM, or LCL Level II or III Certification
