LSU Law Adjunct (Accounting for Lawyers)
Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center is seeking to hire an adjunct faculty member for the Accounting for Lawyers course for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The role involves teaching accounting concepts and their application in the legal practice to students without a background in accounting.
Research
Responsibilities
Introduce students to accounting concepts and the practical application of those concepts to the practice of law
Help students learn to understand financial statements (balance sheet, income statements, statement of cash flows), financial ratios, and other topics useful in a business and tax environment
Use accepted accounting principles to assist students in evaluating and valuing businesses and appreciating the business and tax needs of clients
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Applicants should have superior academic credentials
All candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment
