Responsibilities

Develop test plans for eero's whole home WiFi products
Define, implement WiFi test cases and support automation
Design network for wireless, network systems
Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
Drive decisions about testing improvements
Execute WiFi performance characterization tests
Report test results and plan status
Create/maintain performance and interop nightly regression test suites and testbeds
Create test suites in our automation framework towards WiFi Performance coverage
Work with WiFi dev/HW/CX teams to reproduce/triage/debug customer issues
Write detailed bug reports for engineering team
Support distributed development and WiFi testing teams

Qualification

Required

4+ years of antenna design related to 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products experience
Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and networking
Knowledge on 802.11 standards such as 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
Understanding of WiFi stack and networking stack

Preferred

Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes and ticket filing
Work experience on OSI stack from L1-L7 or L2-L7
Knowledge of LTE, BLE and Thread is a plus
Ability to analyze wireless captures, debug and replicate field issues
Understanding of embedded systems from wireless debugging perspective
Ability to review standards and provide recommendations to development teams based on characterization and lab validations tests is a plus
