Continuous Improvement Analyst

Responsibilities

Maintain and update databases and data systems ensuring accuracy and integrity, including price and commercial conditions, lead times
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns and gaps to monitor compliance and drive compliant behaviors
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness and involvement at all levels of the organization
Analyze business performance and systems to identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions
Drive process excellence and improvement initiatives, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Develop and maintain templates, boilerplates, playbooks and knowledge management tools
Design and maintain reports in EmpowerMX to be shared and used in the daily support of the operations
Monitor and track KPI’s relative to performance management across service centers
Identify trends in performance and develop initiatives to drive continued performance
Provide deep dive analysis for parts shortages and impact to aircraft span times utilizing capacity planning and modeling
Provide training to operational leaders to capitalize on the resources contained in EmpowerMX
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from the value-streams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with company goals
Extract, analyze and prepare data reports and presentations to support governance activities within the service center organization and with other departments
Execute and lead cross-functional governance:
Operational logistics and procurement metrics
Monthly sales progression and targets
Contract/source coverage and adherence
Cost savings, cost avoidance and risks progression
Burndown and recovery plans applicable to all value-streams
Coordinate budget activities with other value-streams, monthly sales progressions and align targets per value-stream
Act as BPO (Business Process Owner) with IT department and relevant partners for service center relevant processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related technical field
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or training in Analytics, business analysis or project management
Proven experience implementing Lean 5S principles, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodologies or other similar continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
Military experience such as the Office of Business Transformation (OBT), Enterprise Process Improvement Program (EPI) or other similar military/DoD continuous process program or position
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent data analytical skills, ability to collect, organize and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system/process issues
Ability to communicate in English language, both written and verbal
Requires the ability to travel 15% - 20%
