The intern will work closely with the Procurement Director to assist in sourcing materials, procurement, and supply chain management while establishing strong customer service approaches to support project management and field teams.

Responsibilities
Assist in establishing purchasing goals and the preparation of procurement documents and agreements for materials needed on projects
Support evaluations of vendor proposals
Prepare purchasing documents and enter information into the procurement system
Participate in project startup meetings and provide input regarding material management
Develop exemplary client and supplier relationships and conduct high quality business development activities on a regular basis
Utilize LEAN concepts with a focus on continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Must currently be enrolled in a degree program in business, supply chain or other related disciplines
Strong collaboration and demonstrated high level of integrity and dependability
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
