Responsibilities
Ongoing product line analyses of rates and results
Pricing and reserving for product lines
Rate change monitoring
Programming to automate actuarial and data-related tasks
Data-sharing with executive team and staff underwriters
Work cross-functionally to aid in the development of internal tools and products
Respond to ad hoc requests from product line and executive leaders
Other actuarial work as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics, finance, or related subjects
3+ years of relevant actuarial experience
ACAS designation or close to obtaining ACAS
Programming experience with SQL is required
Property & casualty experience required
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent analytical ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Programming experience with Python or R
Excess & surplus lines experience
