Responsibilities
Operates MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures
Positions patients administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high quality exam
Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice
Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Previous MRI experience, required
Strong computer skills Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology), or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certification
Current CPR certification (BLS) issued the by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred
A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred
Advanced techniques including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred
