Firefly Aerospace is an end-to-end responsive space transportation company on a mission to enable world-class space operations. They are seeking an Avionics Intern to support Continuous Improvement Engineers and engage in various aspects of electrical and electronic component design for launch vehicles and spacecraft.

Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to develop and implement electrical/electronic component designs for launch vehicle and spacecraft applications
Understand and implement aerospace guidelines for development and design of electronics assemblies
Assist in electrical schematics, EEE component selection, and electrical simulations
Develop test requirements and work with the Avionics test team to develop test plans and procedures, and support testing as required

Qualification
Required
Enrollment or a recent graduate of a BS or MS program at an accredited university or college
Excited to work in a hands-on, constantly evolving environment
Detail-orientated yet able to manage multiple concurrent tasks
Strong comprehension of design fundamentals in the specific discipline
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
