They are seeking a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Tech to perform regular grounds maintenance and general repairs throughout the campus, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
Performs regular grounds maintenance associated with ground cover, sidewalks and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other manual duties
Performs campus-wide general maintenance and repairs including: installing, removing and repairing the following: lighting, signs, cables, chains, barricades, gates, bicycle racks, posts, fences, and other building and grounds equipment
Removes trash and debris from public areas and regularly: inspects: grounds, drains, manhole covers, etc., Regularly rakes, sweeps and bags leaves, debris, cigarette butts, dirt and trash from streets, sidewalks, parking lots. Transports collected trash to designated central collection points on a daily basis
Maintains sharp campus image by ensuring trash containers in public areas are emptied, cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis and that all service equipment is maintained in a clean and safe condition
Safely operates light vehicles such as pick-up trucks, tractors, street sweepers, portable power tools such as saws, grass trimmers, snow/leaf blowers, sprayers, paint machines and other grounds keeping equipment. Always uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including: eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, proper footwear and other appropriate protective clothing
Replaces and disposes of light bulbs in interior building settings using ladders, lifts, or other tools
Performs minor maintenance work using hand and power, performing minor plumbing repairs, and, light bulbs, and fluorescent ballasts
Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing all other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of maintaining/operating grounds equipment preferred
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
