Outreach and Placement Coordinator
Living Classrooms Foundation strengthens communities and inspires young people through hands-on education and job training. The Placement Coordinator is responsible for community outreach, job development, job placement, and ensuring successful participant outcomes in the Workforce Development Department.

Responsibilities
Promotes Living Classrooms programs and services
Recruits potential program participants for Living Classrooms training programs
Organizes industry-specific employer engagement events
Develops partnerships to assist in the implementation of appropriate support services to program participants
Maintains a calendar of outreach activities, including in-center events, community events and workshops
Organizes and attends community events
Effectively recruits and screens program participants for various Workforce Development programs
Assists with monthly orientation sessions and intake assessments, including the administration of the RAISEC career assessments, behavioral interviews, job readiness assessments, and TABE testing
Screens potential program participants and assesses participants’ skills
Assists with coordinating career development activities related to skills training
Monitors program participants' progress and adherence to program guidelines
Works with case managers to identify and assist participants in overcoming barriers to completing training and employment
Develops partnerships to assist in the implementation of appropriate support services for program participants
Maintains all program participants' files and completes bi-weekly case notes
Assists case managers in tracking participant outcomes as they relate to the Individual Career Plan
Assists with job placement of program participants
Identifies potential employer partners and maintains partner relationships
Acts as a liaison, matching program participants with employment opportunities
Provides one-on-one job coaching sessions with participants in the final phase of their training
Provides support to employer partners, utilizing the LCF's Dual Customer Service Model
Conducts retention checks on all participants after job placement using the Birdseye Case Management System
Responsible for documenting all program outcomes, job placements, and retention checks in the Birdseye Case Management System
Tracks and reports on outreach performance and program outcomes
Maintains a data collection system that compiles data on individuals served, demographics, certifications obtained, and employment data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in social sciences or at least 3-4 years of conducting outreach, community engagement, or case management
Outstanding written communication and presentation skills
Strong public speaking capacity
Outstanding written communication and presentation skills
Proven relationship-building skills to support collaboration with internal and external partners
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, works under tight deadlines, and maintains organized records
Ability to track, analyze, and adjust programs and processes as necessary
Ability to pay attention to details and manage multiple projects at one time
Knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms
Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships both internally and externally
Proven relationship-building skills to support collaboration and partnership as necessary
