Responsibilities

Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects focused on hydrologic, hydraulic, and scour design
Build 1-D and 2-D hydraulic models to support project analysis and design
Prepare and review environmental permit plans, design drawings, and technical reports
Support project proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to align on project goals and resolve design/permitting issues
Mentor junior staff, sharing both technical expertise and professional guidance
Assist with task management, including schedules, deliverables, and financial performance

Required

BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (or related discipline)
5–8+ years of professional experience in water resources engineering and analysis
Strong background in preparing/reviewing design plans, specifications, and reports
Strong background in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, etc.)
Strong background in Flood Management Permitting
Strong background in Highway drainage analysis
Strong background in Geomorphic evaluation and stream simulation design
Strong background in Scour analysis and countermeasure design
Experience in task management and mentoring
Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

At least 2 years of CTDOT project experience
Scour analysis and countermeasure design
EIT or PE license
