As an Underwriting Intern, you will apply your skills to learn about underwriting principles and contribute to various departments while gaining valuable experience throughout a 10-week program.

Responsibilities

Apply your talents in the fundamental principles of underwriting commercial lines insurance policies

Gain an understanding of the underwriting thought process

Learn to utilize underwriting guidelines, procedures, rating manual rules and insurance laws/regulations

Work on innovative projects and gain experience through various departments: including underwriting, claims, marketing and actuarial

Present findings and recommendations to Berkley Southwest's management team

Must be enrolled in accredited University pursuing a bachelor's degree in risk management or business-related field and complete 50 hours of credit toward graduation
