Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, fills medication orders, prepares routine compounds and solutions (sterile and non-sterile), prepackages medications, stocks and maintains levels of supplies in assigned work area, prepares and files documents and other records, operates computer and answers telephone/window as needed
Performs duties of a pharmacist in accordance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy
The amount and degree of autonomy progresses with each year of education
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy
Pharmacy intern registration with the State Board of Pharmacy is required within 3 months of hire
(PHARM-Intern) Pharmacist - Intern, or (PharmTech) Pharmacy Technician License
Neatness and Accuracy required
Word processing, interpersonal communication, time management
Typing, computer applications, compounding equipment
Preferred
Six months of hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred
