Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician
The MRI Tech produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care

Qualification

MRI proceduresAmerican Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsCross section anatomyBasic Life SupportPatient careClinical imagingMR pathology

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of MRI
6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience. Possesses working knowledge of cross section anatomy and MR pathology
Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or (ARMRIT) registry eligible according to ACR guidelines. Must be registered as a MR Technologist within one year post graduation of accredited school. If Registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire

Preferred

Associate degree in Allied Health or bachelor's degree and certification in another clinical imaging field
2-5 years in MRI
ARRT in MRI
