Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment
Perform various facilities maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on machinery such as Waterjets, HAAS machines, Band saws, Plate saws, Schelling saws, Bearing saws, and Tsune circular saws
Perform timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime
Establish and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and facility equipment
Complete facility/building maintenance tasks and minor repairs while keeping the work area clean and safe
Dismantle malfunctioning equipment and install new or repaired machinery
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and completed repairs
Coordinate and provide recommendations for contracts and third-party services
Supervise outside contractors during on-site mechanical and electrical work
Support and comply with all safety, quality, and Lean initiatives
Work directly on the warehouse floor, operating around heavy equipment and machinery

Required

3–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
Mechanical and technical aptitude with a strong problem-solving mindset
Technical certificate or college degree in a related field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Committed to maintaining a safe work environment
Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker
