Responsibilities
Responsible for acting as the project manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies. The project manager will act as the single point of contact between the firm and the project. They will supervise and coordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client, to the client’s satisfaction
Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure
Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools
Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data
Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact
Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations
Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects
Attend regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipal clients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use Board Engineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and developmental review projects
Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications
Support of the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination
Qualification
Required
6+ plus years of experience in civil engineering
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
Professional License (P.E.) required
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to field visits and client meetings as required
Ability to draft reports including illustrations, appendices, maps and other attachments to summarize research results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Stormwater Modeling Software, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
