Responsibilities
Administers and reviews cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments/batteries detailed in psychological evaluations, providing recommendations in treatment and resources needed to ensure success in treatment, education/employment
Provides consultations, group supervisions and trainings to staff throughout TCCNY particularly regarding areas of development and modifications of treatment for clients with neurodivergent needs
Provides individual and group psychotherapy, documenting all treatment in the Electronic Health Record following all city, state and federal regulatory and compliance guidelines
Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team to design and implement a treatment plan that addresses the client’s needs with consideration for his/her developmental stage and abilities
Establishes and enhances cross collaborative efforts and partnerships with both internal and external organizational partners
Provides support and consult to families/caregivers/systems regarding youth specific strategies relative to their developmental/neurological needs to ensure success upon return to the community
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or Psy.D., with N.Y.S. certification
Two +years' experience in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents to young adults with serious emotional disabilities
Two+ years' experience in working with clients with co-occurring mental health/substance use and IDD/ASD needs
Trained and experienced in administering and interpreting psychological, cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments/batteries
Preferred
Specialized training in neuropsychology
