The Group Facilitator is responsible for the psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic treatment of patients through group therapy sessions, ensuring effective participation and communication among patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Responsible for quality psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic treatment of pediatric, adolescent and adult patients

This is accomplished through preparation and facilitation of regular group therapy sessions designed to meet patients’ needs

The Group Facilitator guides and directs patient participation during group sessions, effectively addresses group dynamics, and observes patients’ individual responses to discussion and content

Responsible for documenting group notes including content, individual observations, and individual progress towards treatment goals

Maintains open communication with the Director of Psychological Services, milieu management and treatment teams to support quality service delivery and ensure adherence to the daily programming schedule

Follows all policies/procedures related to release of information and Confidentiality

Regularly attends clinical supervision
