Human Services Program Consultant II - Temporary

The NC Office of State Human Resources is dedicated to providing effective human resource management solutions. They are seeking a Human Services Program Consultant II to deliver training to child welfare DSS staff statewide and to support the Department of Health and Human Services.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for delivering training to child welfare DSS staff statewide

Qualification

North Carolina child welfare systemTraining deliveryFacilitating discussionsPresentation developmentRelationship managementCommunication skills

Required

Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of related experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Working knowledge of the North Carolina child welfare system, specifically Child Protective Services and/or Permanency Planning
Experience in delivering training to child welfare staff
Experience in facilitating discussions about child welfare practice and policy with child welfare staff
Experience in developing and making presentations that meet the needs of training participants
Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with child welfare staff to meet training needs
Demonstrated use of communication skills when assisting county staff with technical assistance to promote accountability
