Responsibilities

Operating all equipment necessary for outside plant (OSP) construction tasks associated with construction work orders
Performing routine maintenance on the assigned equipment
Completing OSP construction tasks with little guidance both in a safe and efficient manner

Qualification

Required

High School or Equivalent
1-2 Years of construction experience or technical training certifications
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
Ability to operate all construction equipment required for OSP cable placement methods
Ability to climb poles and work aloft, as well as underground while using power tools
Ability to operate all construction equipment, including vehicles
Strong verbal and communication skills
Commercial Driver's License
Knowledge of Microsoft office; Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook (email)

Preferred

VA811 Computer Based Training (CBT) Excavation Certification
VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Certification
