UCR College Corps Assistant Director
The University of California, Riverside is seeking an Assistant Director for the UCR College Corps Program, who will play a vital leadership role in advancing the University’s commitment to student success and community impact. The Assistant Director will manage operations, support Fellows, and strengthen partnerships to ensure the success of the program focused on Education, Food Insecurity, and Climate Action.

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of Fellows and site partnerships, ensuring all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, and supervision are carried out with excellence
Coordinate targeted outreach campaigns, facilitate orientations and professional development sessions, and serve as a primary liaison to community partners
Ensure placement sites meet program standards and Fellows receive the support necessary to achieve their service and academic goals
Conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs
Build relationships and work with on- and off-campus partners, including local government agencies, elementary schools, non-profit organizations, and community groups to implement various aspects and activities of the Program
Collect data, track program services provided to participants for the annual performance report, intermittent reports, self-monitoring audits, and program evaluations
Assist the Director in making decisions regarding allocation of funds for implementation of grant objectives
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Continuing education in related field
4 - 7 years of related experience
Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas
Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills
Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills
Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures
Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs
Thorough knowledge of current community educational programs and trends
Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs
Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university level
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Preferred
Knowledge of federal/state compliance requirements for service programs, including AmeriCorps or other grant-funded initiatives
Strong skills in building and maintaining community partnerships, including nonprofits, schools, or public agencies
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate responsibilities effectively, while fostering collaboration and teamwork in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
