The role includes maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and providing support for financial audits and special projects.

Responsibilities

Maintains and reviews all aspects of the general ledger. Ensures proper coding by hospital departments and Accounting personnel

Prepares and posts journal entries in the general ledger(s). Ensures proper journal entry documentation

Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements

Coordinates completion and review of balance sheets

Assists Director in compiling accurate financial analysis information for short-term and long-term financial projects. Completes special projects as assigned

Assists Director in providing requested information for annual financial audit, tax returns and other projects deemed necessary

Assist with technical/complex accounting & reporting issues

Provides financial support and mentoring as needed
