Aerospace Repair Development Engineer

The Aerospace Repair Development Engineer will develop repair solutions for bearings and other components, manage reverse engineering processes, and provide technical support to the Repair Station.

Responsibilities
Develop new DER (non-OEM) and OE-licensed repair solutions for ball and roller bearings, as well as other high-value components (e.g., shafts) identified by the business
Scope may also include implementation of repair development for non-bearing components
Manage and expedite the reverse engineering process
Provide cost analysis and pricing
Develop and manage FAA/DER (military equivalent) license packages
Manage component manufacturing to support all aspects of the repair process
Collaborate with OE Engineering to provide technical support and design expertise as required
Provide operational support to the Repair Station
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Industrial or related field)
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in aerospace engineering, preferably in MRO, component repair, or product support environments
Proficiency in engineering analysis, CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.), and technical report writing
Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, repair processes (welding, machining, coating, NDT, etc.), and relevant aviation regulations
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. 'US Person' includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
Preferred
Experience with regulatory approval processes (DER repairs, FAA/EASA forms, UK CAA etc.)
Professional Engineering (PE) license or EASA Part 66 license preferred, but not required
