Responsibilities

Design, plan, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions primarily in Microsoft Azure to support the government’s mission-critical workloads
Serve as the technical authority on cloud strategy, guiding the modernization and migration of legacy systems into hybrid and cloud-native environments
Define cloud architecture standards and best practices for compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services within the Azure ecosystem
Support the deployment and integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services in compliance with government cybersecurity and operational policies
Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant, and meet performance and availability requirements
Develop and maintain cloud design documentation, implementation plans, and system diagrams to support architecture governance and change control processes
Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance the performance, automation, and cost-effectiveness of IT services
Lead the development of cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting efforts for existing applications and infrastructure
Ensure cloud environments support high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies, aligned with mission resilience goals
Provide Tier 3-level escalation support and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents and performance issues
Maintain strong working knowledge of government cloud security requirements and support implementation of STIGs, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust architecture principles
Advise program leadership on technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cost estimates for cloud initiatives and project proposals

Required

Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience leading cloud architecture and migration projects, including significant experience with Microsoft Azure
Proficiency in Azure-native services
Active Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification AZ-104
Active Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification AZ-305
IAT level II

Preferred

Master's Degree
Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform), cloud networking, identity management (AAD), and security controls
