Responsibilities
Works under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse or Milieu Manager to provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions
Manages behavioral problems through patient observation and de-escalating techniques
Facilitates education and activity groups
Actively participates as a member of the treatment team and performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school graduation
Current CPR or BLS certification
Must have at least one year of experience working in an inpatient hospital setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+
Work hours: 12-hour shifts; day or night shift available; rotating weekend
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience with behavioral health patients is preferred
Knowledge of patient care principles is beneficial
Competence in taking vital signs accurately
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
