They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated full-time Billing Specialist to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement for healthcare services provided by the practice.

Responsibilities
Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
Resolving claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies
Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
Communication with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
Collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented and motivated
Experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration
Ability to prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
Experience in reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
Ability to resolve claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies
Experience in posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
Knowledge of compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
Ability to communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
Collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
Preferred
Experience in finance, accounting, or administrative roles requiring accuracy and compliance
Proficiency in billing software, databases or other financial tools
Experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system
Attention to detail: Exceptional accuracy when managing financial data and resolving discrepancies
Communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal team members
Problem solving skills: A proactive approach to resolving billing and claims issues efficiently
