Responsibilities
Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed
Document best practices to support production
Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware
Accurately report problems, solutions, and results
Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Preferred
Practical knowledge of welding and general fabrication
Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW
Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld
Experience with weld specifications
Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications
Moving large structures or hardware
