Responsibilities
Represent clients in civil litigation cases, focusing on defense strategies
Handle complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, trial preparation, and court appearances
Develop and implement case strategies for class action lawsuits and wage hour disputes
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes as necessary
Collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management and client communication
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting civil litigation
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active state bar membership
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation with a focus on defense
Proven track record of handling complex litigation and class action cases
Strong understanding of wage-hour laws and regulations
Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities
