Responsibilities

Design and implement service-oriented architectures that meet business needs and enhance system performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
Develop cloud architecture strategies utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Rackspace
Lead the design of microservices and RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration across applications
Oversee the deployment of applications using CI/CD practices with tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker
Implement virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes to optimize cloud infrastructure
Conduct system design reviews to ensure compliance with best practices in security (including FedRAMP) and performance
Mentor junior developers on software development best practices and agile methodologies
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
Proven experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or .NET
Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and cloud infrastructure management
Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions
Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet for configuration management
Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design complex systems that meet user needs while maintaining high performance
