Responsibilities

Work as a cohesive member of the surgical team
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality
Must have knowledge of a vast number of surgical procedures and the steps the surgeon needs to take in order to complete the procedure, including the very wide range of surgical instruments they may need
Utilize instruments, medications, and other supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure
Perform basic tasks such as transporting patients and checking patients' medical charts and consent forms
Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques
Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality

Required

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology or have equivalent experience
Certification required

Two years' surgical technology experience preferred
