Industrialization Engineer - Electrical Systems

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Engineering team to review and validate design products, ensuring feasibility and compliance with technical requirements
Support the development and updating designs to ensure consistent fabrication practices
Suggest and validate sub-assemblies
Apply DFX (Design for Excellence) IEM principles
Develop the protocol of fabrication for prototypes, these documents will describe details about the fabrication processes, assembly and validation
Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) all equipment in the Fabrication Lab
Design and optimize process flow and cycle times
Define lead times and fabrication milestones of each job
Coordinate feedback loops between design, fabrication, and testing teams
Analyze fabrication data to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for current and next builds
Help maintain updated documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams of the projects assigned
Ensure that First-of-Kind covers all quality requirements by maintaining detailed documentation of validation and fabrication processes, including test reports and analysis of results
Create final reports of the prototypes fabricated
Ensure traceability and documentation of prototype builds
Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies
Coordinate technical training for technicians
Responsible for on time promise (%)
Manage consumables and safety standards
Right-first time (%)
KPI dashboards updated
Research for new technologies to improve processes
Develop and evaluation plan of new technologies

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and safety protocols
Willingness to learn and apply new skills in a manufacturing setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
Experience with metal fabrication (laser, press brake, bus bar) and assembly

Preferred

Experience with switchgear design and/or manufacturing would be beneficial
