2025-26 Elementary School Instructional Coach: STEM

Brilla Public Charter Schools is a growing network of K-8th grade schools dedicated to fostering character and academic excellence. The Instructional Coach will support teachers in aligning their instruction with the school's vision and achieving academic targets through coaching, professional development, and curriculum adaptation.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Conduct daily classroom observations, live coaching and provide feedback to urgently develop teachers instructional practice
Organize and lead teacher development meetings, developing their content knowledge, data analysis and action planning and pedagogical skills
Collaborate with Assistant Principal and Instructional Leadership Team to analyze assessment data and create targeted interventions for student academic goals
Support teachers in achieving school-wide goals aligned with curriculum, pedagogy, and professional evaluation expectations
Facilitate professional development exercises and workshops on curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment cycles
Manage assessment cycles, including scheduling, quality assurance, and preparation
Lead curriculum development aligned with New York State Next Generation standards, adapting materials as needed
Coach teachers in literacy content knowledge and pedagogical practices
Foster positive relationships with school stakeholders and actively participate in school events
Engage in ongoing professional development, collaborate with colleagues, and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement in teaching methodologies and school culture

Required

Passionate commitment to Brilla Schools' educational mission and holistic child development
Embrace of Classical education principles with a focus on nurturing students' well-rounded growth
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in English/Language Arts
Current elementary school teaching certification and demonstrated teaching excellence
Proven track record in fostering outstanding student growth and coaching teachers
Strong, diverse content knowledge across grade levels or subjects
Dedication to character development in both children and adults
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred

Experience in special education
Familiarity with Classical liberal arts education
Spanish language proficiency
