Electrical Engineering Specialist (Electronics)

Responsibilities
You will be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks on mission critical projects, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
You’ll provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans
You will assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site
You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
At least 15 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
At least 4 years of electrical engineering power distribution design experience for semiconductor, data center, or mission critical facilities
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
Experience with UPS and EPMS systems
Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc
Team leadership and client interaction experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Project lead experience
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Passionate about buildings and construction
Preferred
Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Electrical design experience for semiconductor, data center and/or mission critical facilities
Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
