Responsibilities
Ensures that molds are cleaned greased and serviced correctly to be prepared for next production run
Troubleshoot molds to include hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and mechanical fixes
Inspects and evaluates wearing, damage or abnormal condition in molds and determines repair actions
Performs high precision machining on manual Mills, lathes, surface grinders and EDMs
Utilize precision measurement techniques using microscope, micrometers, calipers, comparator, gage blocks and indicators
Maintains proper housekeeping of his work areas
Maintains records for tooling repairs, service and maintenance per established procedures
Coordinates shipping of components and molds with vendors when outsourced
Adheres to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
Follow schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and break
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or college degree
Machining school certification
Mechanical skills
Detailed and organized
knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatic, hydraulics
6+ years in injection molding environment
Intermediate computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office)
Preferred
Experience in CAD software (Solid works)
