Senior Manager, Accounting - Revenue

Responsibilities

Lead all revenue recognition processes over complex contracts and transactions in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., ASC 606)
Maintain accurate and complete records for all revenue streams including D2C, marketplace, wholesale, and licensing income
Oversee regular reconciliations between operational data and financial records. Monitor and reconcile revenue across multiple platforms
Collaborate with legal and business development teams to ensure contract terms are accurately reflected in accounting entries
Lead month-end close activities related to revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement disclosures, and variance analysis
Prepare monthly revenue schedules for internal and external reporting, including revenue-related reserves (e.g., allowances for doubtful accounts, sales returns), and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management
Ensure SOX-compliant controls are maintained over revenue-related processes
Own the preparation of audit schedules for revenue and support internal and external auditors during financial audits and licensing reviews
Ensure documentation and accounting policies are kept up to date
Drive improvements in automation and accuracy of revenue accounting processes, enhance data integrity, and streamline the Order to Cash cycle
Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
Partner with data and operations teams to streamline revenue data capture and validation
Partner with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance Operations, FP&A, and IT Business Applications teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition, support strategic decisions, and drive efficiency across departments
Manage and develop a small team of revenue accountants, fostering technical expertise and career growth

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
6+ years of experience in revenue control, financial planning & analysis, or commercial finance — ideally within e-commerce, digital media, licensing, or retail sectors
Strong technical understanding of ASC 606, understanding of revenue recognition principles and commercial licensing agreements
Proven experience working with high-volume, multi-channel digital revenue
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and data tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI)
CPA or equivalent qualification
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and business acumen
Strong track record of implementing process improvements and scalable accounting practices
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
