Responsibilities
Support the design and development of industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design input
Selection and specification of IO, controllers/processors, power supplies and other equipment in order to satisfy design requirements
Create and update hardware drawings and related documentation based on the functional design
Help develop control system platform standards
Help develop hardware related test procedures and support the test team during the execution of the test program
Support V&V related activities to support project quality plans
Support a variety of calculations including software hazards analysis, susceptibility analysis, FMEAs, and Power/Heat load calculations
Support innovation and internal transformation programs to improve product quality and project efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
5+ years of experience
Experience with hardware design and development for common PLC or DCS platforms
Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques
Operate as part of a large global team and demonstrated leadership experience
Understanding of electrical theory and other engineering principles applicable to cabinet layout and design
