Responsibilities

Highway engineering design including development of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, pavement design, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, work zone traffic control, and erosion and sediment control

Preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates

Field reconnaissance, data collection, and inspection

Required

Candidates should have an accredited B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation

3-6 years of related consulting experience is a plus

Registration as an EIT in New York (or eligibility to obtain) and the ability to secure the New York State professional engineering license is desired

Applicants should have solid verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interact effectively within a project team, including internal team members and client or agency team members

Preferred

Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads is a plus

Experience with NYSDOT specifications and design a plus
