2026-2027 GI/Liver Pathology Fellow
The UW School of Medicine and Public Health is offering a fellowship in GI/Liver Pathology aimed at providing advanced training in diagnostic pathology. The fellow will engage in various responsibilities including participation in subspecialty services, presentations at tumor boards, and involvement in research projects.

Responsibilities
This fellowship provides one full year of advanced training in diagnostic gastrointestinal, liver, pancreaticobiliary and transplant pathology. Cases include a wide spectrum of non-neoplastic, neoplastic and allograft pathology received from the state-of-the-art UW Health Hepatobiliary Oncologic and Transplantation Surgical Services and the Digestive Health Center (approximately 18,500 GI cases annually, including 450 medical/allograft liver biopsies, 250 extramural consultations and 575 pediatric GI cases)
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a certified U.S. based pathology residency program
Unrestricted WI Medical License required by start date
Board eligible or board certified in anatomic pathology (AP) or combination of anatomic pathology and clinical pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology (ABP)
MD or DO or equivalent
