Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, design, and implementation of complex telecommunications infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards

Serve as a subject matter expert on telecommunications technology and best practices, providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues and stakeholders across the organization

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of telecommunications infrastructure systems and processes

Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for the evolution of telecommunications infrastructure, considering emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and business objectives

Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities

Perform site visits for data collection and evaluation of telecommunications and building technologies systems, equipment, components, and materials for projects with and without well-defined scopes

Maintain Inside Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and all associated elements

Develop EIPs required for installation of cable racks, wiring of the racks and testing required during installation

Current on codes and technologies appropriate to the telecommunications and building technologies design/construction industry

Follow JSP and commercial best practice procedures, standards and/or provide Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) required for installation of cable racks, wiring of the racks and testing required during installation

Support the maintenance and clean-up of 1800 or more telecommunication rooms at the Pentagon, Mark Center and NCR, and outlying buildings under JSP operations. Tasks include on-site assessments, weekly reporting of survey findings (barring exceptional circumstances), devising maintenance strategies for improvements, and ensuring compliance with EIA/TIA 568A & 568B Standards and related regulations

Perform 24/7/365 break fix on all Inside Plant cable infrastructure

Knowledge of structured cabling systems from an installation and basic design perspective
