Responsibilities
Perform in-process inspection and final inspections for PCBAs after soldering, bonding or conformal coating, mechanical operation, or testing per production traveler or router and customer BOM and drawings
Perform soldering workmanship inspection per IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards
Perform AOI verification, X-RAY inspection
Perform SMT setup verifications
Perform First Article Inspection or First Piece Inspection per production traveler
Verify production documentation sign off for completeness, accountability and traceability
Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Minimum 3 years' experience in PCBA production environment required
Soldering workmanship inspection experience required
Ability to perform inspection under microscope required
Must be able to distinguish and identify colors as well as judge distances and spatial relationships with or without corrective lenses
Ability to read and interpret drawings and drawing dimensional callouts. Understand BOM
Ability to use typical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and etc
Must be able to read, write, and verbally effectively communicate in the business language (English)
Working knowledge of computer basic skills and Microsoft Office
Preferred
IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification or training
Prior PCBA assembly or soldering operator experience
Prior experience of operating AOI and X-RAY inspection equipment
Basic knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or ISO 13485
Manufacturing and inventory software knowledge, a plus
