Responsibilities
Select proper holding devices for work, i.e., chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc. to perform ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter) and surface grinding to deburr parts during machining operations and on manual equipment based on blueprints and/or set-up sheets
Inspect and check work using precision measuring equipment, optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc. and complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and data
Perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and minimum of three (3) years of related experience
Good knowledge of shop math and familiar with use of precision measuring equipment (i.e., optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
Work overtime as required
Frequent bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time; frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. from floor to bench; occasional lifting to 35 lbs
Good eye and hand dexterity
Preferred
Experience with Studer S21 and/or Studer 131 is a plus
DBS (Danaher Business System)
Quality measures, AQL levels and inspection methods
Computers, CNC equipment, CNC controls, and tool offsets
